Mingus Ah Um is considered to be a true Jazz classic. We are excited to release the album 50 years after its original conception, as it was intended by the Angry Man of Jazz himself.

Thrustis the follow up to Head Hunters using the same band except for drummer Harvey Mason, who is replaced by the Head Hunters' Mike Clark.The cover ofThrustreveals a lot of the album. Herbie's sitting comfortablyin his spaceship controlled by a synth froman alien world, reachingto the clouds and beyond. Well, that's what his stature was in 1974 - one of the seminal renewers of Jazz by incorporating new electric instruments like theARP synthesizer.

Fat Albert Rotunda is the venture into jazz-funk by keyboardist Herbie Hancock. Fat Albert Rotunda is a unique item in Herbie Hancock's long and diverse catalog, with funky tracks like "Fat Mama" and modern jazz-oriented tunes like "Tell Me A Bedtime Story". The sextet which is backing Hancock consists of some of the most prominent musicians of that time, like Joe Henderson on tenor sax, Johnny Coles on trumpet and Buster Williams on the bass.

In 1979, George Duke featured Lynn Davis on "I Want You for Myself", the haunting single that made Master of the Game one of his best-selling albums. This album contains a few jazz fusion instrumentals (including the Latin-flavored "Dog-Man"), but it's an R&B release first and foremost. "I Want You for Myself" and the mellow, Stylistics-influenced "Every Little Step I Take" are gems in its own right.

The conception of Sketches Of Spain can be placed in the 'most melodic' era of Miles Davis's work, being one of his most accessible and less improvisational albums which broke out of the constraints of Jazz as a genre. This is one of the four albums where Miles and Gil Evans collaborated with a small orchestra of horns and percussion.
