Released in 1965, Otis Redding's second album Sings Soul Ballads features a fine choice of sweet and tender songs. Backed by Booker T & The MG's, Redding immortalized songs like "Mr. Pitiful" & Sam Cooke's "Nothing Can Change This Love"

Otis Redding's very first album Pain In My Heart (1964) contained his first hit from 1962, "These Arms Of Mine". His versatility shows in the diverse selection of material, like "The Dog" by Rufus Thomas, "Stand By Me" by Ben E. King, "You Send Me" by Sam Cooke and "Lucille" by Little Richard.

Recorded at the famous L.A. club Whisky A Go Go in 1966, this album captures the raw energy of a small Otis Redding gig. Playing with his own touring band (not Booker T & the MG's as per his Monterey gig and European performances), this is Otis in his tried & true form - with a kick-ass band that blew the chitlin circuit's roofs off

With Rejuvenation, The Meters maintained their stripped down song structures and impeccable interlocked grooves while still leaving space for inspired jamming.
